im white, and my boyfriend is iraqi, is this okay?

ok for all the hate thrown at the jws on this site, its funny how a person asked what the bible says on a matter and not one of you used the bible!!! One of you even called the bible into "old testiment/new testiment" which is a king james reference. so you guys can talk against someone that preaches (you can call it lies if you want) yet someone asks you about the bible's viewpoint and none of you crack open the bible to show that god is not partial?

Condescending Style of the book Keep Yourselves in God's Love

atlantis has posted a download link for the 2008 book release, "keep yourselves in god's love".

i read a page or so from the book, and the first thing i notices is the simple language used that sounds like it is written to be read by a little child who is in elemenatary school.. the styel if very condescending and actually is insulting as if the reader is expected to have a very low level of intelligence or reading ability.. what is going on?

why is bethel printing such material?.

Here is one talking about the fact that help books for people raising kids are written where young parents cant understand them

"The average reading level of American parents of young children is 7th or 8th grade, but 80% of pediatric materials for parents are written at the 10th grade level or above"

The fact is, I dont think many people read entire books in a year at all. I can BET you that with blacks and hispanic males under 40 non-students, only 15% black 7% hispanic males read an ENTIRE BOOK a year. WOMEN would be higher but barely. If a person asks a person, do you read books and how many a year, Most will lie so as to not appear stupid. Its like asking a church goer if they have read the whole bible cover to cover, NOT through study, but like a regular book, on their own. MANY will say yes, but the fact is likely no.

All one has to do is look an newspaper and book sales over the years. The short read of the internet is preferred.

So you people talking about a faith that is trying to reach people needs to talk higher, is dumb. They need to talk at the level that the MOST would understand it and want to read it. Meaning Pictures, small words. THATS the world we live in. In schools it is like that. Look at history books from the 50s and one now in school. Today, there are far more pictures.

OK what level of reading is the bible written in? What way did Jesus talk? What is the average reading ability of Americans across the country? And you read the first few pages and Judged!?!?! LOL

Servant Step-dad strangles Pioneer mom Elders ask them to reconcile??

while living in perth my step-dad and mother were pioneering....he was also a servant.

twice my mum left him due to violence...but, elder idiot encouragement sent her back to him.

this last time they had an arguement about the price of potatoes.

Ok ME AND MY WIFE had fights, and the elders said to get back together....Now tell me... would JESUS say to get back together? the only way to see is by using the bible which you people seem to forget is what the elders use when talking to people. they dont have any extra bible knowledge that you cannot look up as well. When the elders talk to you, they open the bible, they use publications once and a while too. ALL accessed by YOU as well. ALL things you could have looked up as well. The end result is that we are married 19 years now. It was when we were in our opening years of marriage. So you people and your "separate quick" mentality is not based on the bible but on tv. And the elders not getting involved in personal matters is a dumb comment. WHAT matters SHOULD elders be involved in? BASED ON THE BIBLE, which is where Christianity gets the idea of Elders and servants (ministers and decons if you are in the church)they are SUPPOSED to be INVOLVED in matters that the bible has issue with. MARRIAGE IS A MAIN thing. So that shows a lack of knowledge of the bible in general regardless of WHAT faith you are.
